Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite for what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart, there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, courage and power from man and from the infinite, so long as you are young.

怎么背誦英語(yǔ)？
1 第一條原則：理解而后能背。
對(duì)于一篇課文，首要問(wèn)題是要非常清楚它的意思。只有在這個(gè)基礎(chǔ)上才能開(kāi)始努力去背。生吞活剝式的死記硬背是沒(méi)有效果的。在背之前首先要弄懂文章的中心內(nèi)容，記敘文要弄清楚記述的事情、人物、時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)等等，說(shuō)明文要明白主要解說(shuō)的對(duì)象和不同方面和性質(zhì)，而議論文則要弄清所討論的問(wèn)題和主要的論點(diǎn)、論據(jù)、論證的關(guān)系。
要以文章內(nèi)容為線索進(jìn)行記憶。要弄懂上下句之間的內(nèi)容和邏輯上的關(guān)系，而后才是語(yǔ)言上的起承轉(zhuǎn)合。這樣背課文就是因事而語(yǔ)，有意義地背，言之有物，背之有理。這樣的背誦對(duì)日后的寫(xiě)作和口語(yǔ)幫助也是最大的。
2 第二條原則：先聽(tīng)后背。
既然背課文是練習(xí)英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)行之有效的方法，那在背的時(shí)候就要特別注意。學(xué)語(yǔ)言模仿是關(guān)鍵，所以在背之前要先聽(tīng)，聽(tīng)要聽(tīng)原裝正版的錄音，當(dāng)然推薦外籍教師的'錄音，這樣能夠?qū)W到非常地道的發(fā)音。而且要反復(fù)聽(tīng)，直到能夠模仿得很像為止。這一個(gè)階段是比較枯燥的，但非常有效。
3 第三條原則：從易到難、從短到長(zhǎng)、循序漸進(jìn)
背課文比較艱苦，特別是一開(kāi)始，最是要避免產(chǎn)生抵觸心理。所以開(kāi)始的時(shí)候哪怕就只是幾句話也好，先要建立信心和興趣。不要貪多，想一口吃個(gè)胖子的想法是極端錯(cuò)誤的。急不得，慢慢增長(zhǎng)，逐漸地熟悉背課文的套路和一些英語(yǔ)中常用的關(guān)聯(lián)詞，能夠越來(lái)越容易。
