　　What would you do if you failed? Many people may choose to give up. However, the surest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your goal.

　　On your way to success, you must keep your direction. It is just like a lamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way.

　　Otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead. Direction means objectives. You can get nowhere without an objective in life. You can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve it. In this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time properly. And you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long as you keep your direction all the time.

　　短期目標是那些通常與當前的活動，我們可以應(yīng)用在日常工作處理。這些目標可以實現(xiàn)在一周或更少，或者兩個星期，或possiblymonths。應(yīng)該記住，僅僅是作為建筑物地基比強大，我們的長遠目標不等于沒有牢固的短期目標的實現(xiàn)非常多。在完成我們的短期目標，我們應(yīng)當標明日期，然后添加新的短期的目標，將建立在那些已經(jīng)完成。

　　中期目標建立在短期目標的基礎(chǔ)。他們可能關(guān)注的是一學(xué)期或整個學(xué)年，有時也可長達數(shù)年。任何時候，你前進了一步一步來，你不應(yīng)該讓自己變得沮喪或淹沒。當你完成每個步驟，您將執(zhí)行你的能力的增長和成功的信念。并且當你完成目標的日期，你的動力和欲望將會增加。

　　長期目標可能與我們對未來的夢想。他們可能需要5年以上。生活不是一成不變的。我們不能讓一個長遠的目標，以限制我們或我們的行動方針。

　　According to many people, university is aspringboard towards better jobs or higher salaries, and their only goal ofuniversity education is to get a degree. Why do you go to university? 　　First of all, university education can helpstudent cultivate sentiments. People who are having university education mustlearn much more knowledge. This knowledge will help them cultivate their tastefrom their inside heart. What’s more, the atmosphere in college is also helpfulin developing students’ personal quality.

　　Secondly, university education is a goodplace for students to prepare for going to society. College doesn’t like highschool. Students have to learn many things besides study. This is the finalstage before they enter the society for most students. Having universityeducation helps them adapt the society easily.

　　Thirdly, university educationwill let students have a further knowledge in one field. Before going to university,students have to choose their major. This is because they have to learn specializedknowledge in that field. If they want to success, having knowledge about onething deeply is necessary.

　　To sum up, university education has manyfunctions. It is not only a springboard for better jobs or higher salaries. Theycan’t set their goal for university education is to get a degree. It deservesmore.

　　其次，大學(xué)教育是讓學(xué)生做好進入社會的地方。大學(xué)不像高中。除了學(xué)習(xí)之外學(xué)生還得做很多別的事情。對于大多數(shù)人來說這是他們進入社會前的最后階段。擁有大學(xué)教育可以幫助他們更容易地適應(yīng)社會容易。

　　第三，大學(xué)教育可以讓學(xué)生在一個領(lǐng)域中學(xué)到深刻的知識。在上大學(xué)前，學(xué)生們要選擇自己的專業(yè)。這是因為他們要在某一領(lǐng)域?qū)W習(xí)專業(yè)的知識。如果想成功，深入學(xué)習(xí)是很重要的。

　　總之，大學(xué)教育的作用多多。它不僅僅只是獲得更好工作或者薪水的跳板。人們不應(yīng)該把大學(xué)教育的目標設(shè)定為拿到學(xué)位。它有更多的價值。
