The internet has shorten the distance between manufacturers and consumers and thus we can even buy goods in other countries .On the other hand ， lack of the face to face deal makes online shopping less reliable and trustworthy. What’ s more the delivery will increase the risk of items’ damage. In my opinion， shopping on the internet is an irreversible trend. More and more people will be accustomed to it. This is not only a better choice for the old who do not have enough energy to go outside but also a great convenience for those who have no time to go shopping in person. In addition, consumers have more choices and can do some comparison when they are shopping on the Internet. They can glance over various commodities in all shapes, sizes and colors and decided to buy or not. Furthermore, online shopping has made a great contribution to the development of express delivery industry.

　　However, for another, shopping on the Internet also has some shortcomings. Firstly, those who shop on the Internet can’t try the goods before they buy. 　　There is no denying the fact that online shopping has been gaining popularity these years. Obviously, it has a number of rewards/advantages. In the first place, it's a convenient way to purchase. People can buy things without going out. In the second place, goods online are usually sold at prices lower than in conventional stores, so we are more likely to buy bargains on the Internet. Last but not least, online shopping offers us a lot more choices of goods since we can browse online stores without the limit of time and location.

　　不可否認的事實，這些年網上購物已越來越受到歡迎。顯然，它有很多優勢。首先，它是一種方便的購物方式。人們可以足不出戶買東西。其次，商品在網上銷售的價格通常比傳統商店低，因此我們更有可能在互聯網上購買到便宜貨。最后但并非最不重要的，網上購物為我們提供了更多的商品來選擇，因為我們可以沒有時間和地點的限制去瀏覽網上商店。

　　Nevertheless, as every coin has two sides, shopping online also has demerits/disadvantages. For one thing, it is hard to tell whether the thing one search in an online shop is fake or not. For another, people can not check or try on the thing they buy until they receive it. An added risk lies with online payment, which hasn’t proved to be secure enough. One’s password may be stolen.

　　From my point of view, the advantages of online shopping outweigh its disadvantages. We may take advantage of it but we need also take measures to ensure that its disadvantages are reduced to the minimum so that it can serve us in a better way.
