請柬(Invitation Cards)一般分為正式和非正式兩種：

英語請柬中的邀請套用語“Request the pleasure of the company of”,相當于漢語中的“敬請光臨”.
需要注意的是：
1.賓主姓名一律采用第三人稱,其中人名、單位名、節日和活動名稱都應采用全稱.夫婦同時具名時,通常“先生”寫在其“夫人”前.行文不用標點符號.
2.時間不用阿拉伯數字寫.寫請柬的日期一般不寫在請柬上.需安排座位的宴請活動,應要求被邀者答復能否出席.請柬上一般注上R.S.V.P.(請答復)法文縮寫字樣,并注明聯系電話,也可用電話詢問能否出席.
3.若邀請人對被邀者出席時的服裝有要求,可在請柬的左下角或右下角加以注明.請柬一般提前一周至二周發出.
